An Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Sunday for David Kenyon, son of Tim and Mary Kenyon of Madison. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony, which will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 3 p.m.
Kenyon is the third and final Kenyon in his family to receive Eagle Scout honors. He joined as a Tiger scout and has been involved in Boy Scouts with Pack 5 since fifth grade.
Kenyon has exceeded the merit badge requirements for earning the Eagle Scout rank, completing his Eagle Scout project earlier this summer.
That project involved building seven bat houses for the city of Madison which will be placed in the Gerry Maloney Nature Preserve in 2009.
The bat houses were built by Kenyon and three other scouts with assistance from Ted LaFleur, city horticulture and turf specialist, who obtained the materials.
Kenyon said they deviated from the original plans by using galvanized deck screws to prevent rusting and by creating baffles that were equidistant from one another.
Kenyon is the youngest of three brothers. Andy and Charlie previously earned Eagle Scout honors.
