The Madison City Commission will review an agreement for appraisal review work that was submitted by the state Department of Transportation during its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall.
SDDOT officials will perform the appraisal work as it relates to acquiring the necessary access to land in order to construct a recreational trail from Madison to Lake Herman. In the agreement, Madison would pay state officials for the actual costs for appraisal and review work up to $15,000.
In other business, the commissioners will consider:

-- Reviewing bids on a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project.
-- Discussing a proposed sidewalk inspection policy.
-- Reviewing a variance application from Art Gwynne related to sidewalk installation.
-- Authorizing the mayor to sign an agreement with Double H Paving for a parking lot project at the Madison Aquatics Center.
-- Setting the date of a bidletting for the downtown alley improvement project.
-- Reviewing plats for Lots 12A and 12B in the Williams Addition.
-- Approval of an electric license application for Travis Electric.
Officials will also announce that the city's next electronics scrap drop-off is scheduled on April 10.
